Production

My group is Me (Zach), Alina and Jackson

Roles and Responsibilities:

In class we delegated roles among our group and it was decided I would be in charge of writing the script and being the location scout as well as acting in our film. This is because there weren’t many people to cast that would be onboard with our film. Therefore I played the antagonist as well as the protagonist. To accomplish these roles I need to research locations we could base our film, likely based off the mood board.

Mood Board made by Alina

From the start we knew our film clip needed to have a darker color scheme to show its corporate/dystopian themes.

Script made by Zach and Jackson:

Music plays, opens to man running along a street in suit jacket (billowing out behind him)

News reporter – So Mr Ibarra, how do you feel about your anniversary as company chairman?

Albert Ibarra – Well since I was presented the opportunity to pursue this position 10 years ago, it has been our primary objective as a corporate entity to move towards a more “AI first” approach, while still prioritizing the health of the people. Essentially, at Health AI, our goal is driving our nation’s healthcare system into a new age, (screen goes black) an age of AI.

Title Card

Piracy is a crime music plays from DVD, Main character in room

Main Character – State of confusion

Music plays, shows experimentation by Health AI on people

Knock on the door scene cuts before you see who it is

Cybersecurity Guy – Triangulating Position

Ends with laptop closing

Storyboard made by Alina:

These were the storyboards produced by Alina which show aspects of how we aspired our shots to be in the final film. However it will be difficult to find the best ways to execute these scenes due to complexity and time constraints

Location Scouting/Health and Safety:

We chose The Albany Auckland Council Building and the Albany Mitre 10 to film the opening scene. These locations aided in adding contrast and cinematic value to our film. When choosing these locations I had to take health and safety into account for example when filming at Mitre 10 we were on the roof car park meaning we shouldn’t do anything dangerous or put others at risk.

Changes made to the film:

After getting feedback from the rest of our class we adjusted parts of the film based off the following feedback

“Needs to be slightly more cohesive”

“it was a little slow, i think when you edit and make it faster the suspense will increase

Using this feedback Jackson tweaked the films editing to it’s final form
