Research task 2<\/strong> – Film Opening Conventions<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Production Logo and Film Title<\/td>The production logo is shown to invoke brand recognition within the audience. A Film name and the way it is shown is chosen to represent the genre and tone<\/td><\/tr>
Establishing the genre
<\/td>		it is important to establish the genre of the film at the beginning so audiences are aware and are hooked<\/td><\/tr>
Character Introduction<\/td>introducing characters at the beginning of the film is important as they hook audiences<\/td><\/tr>
Topic\/Theme<\/td>Outlining the key topics and themes in the film opening helps audiences digest the meaning behind the film<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Analysing film openings <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I analysed these different film openings to gather inspiration. i found that the different films used different techniques and different styles of titles to achieve the intended meanings. I analysed three different films —> AS Media – analysing film openings.docx<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Production Company and Logo Research<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. The film production company was founded by the 4 Warner brothers. The Barbie movie (2023) was the corporation’s most successful film. They are owned by Paramount, this caused a controversy due to “monopolistic” practises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The target demographic for warner bros is large as they target many people from all ages. They altered the design away from the traditional gold and blue and changed the logo to look more ‘generic’. Many people disagree with the change in the logo and prefer the old logo. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Inspiration for our film <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We used a scene from Home Alone 2 (1992) of the window being smashed by a brick as we want a similar scene in our movie as the significance of the window breaking in our movie is important. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
